Town Council Events

Thorne & Moorends Town Council work hard with local community organisations throughout the year to provide events for the community. The main events can be found using the index to the left and include the annual Christmas event, Summer Festival, Bonfire Night, the christmas lights switch on and the recent addition of the Moorends Community Gala.

The Council also works hard to provide community events in celebration of landmark 'one-off' events, which have included the Jubilee Party in the Park, the biggest outdoor event in Doncaster and will include a First World War Centenary Event in Moorends and a Candlelight Vigil from 10pm to 11pm on 4 August 2014 in Thorne Park.
