Be sure to join; us, Rudolph, Snowman and Father Christmas, on 6 December 2014, for this year's Annual Christmas Extravaganza!
December 2012 was our second Christmas Event in Moorends. In preparation for the event, grant funding was secured to make significant improvements to the Stage area and the light/sound system. The Town Council donated all 'profit' to the family of Sgt Lee Davidson, of Thorne, to assist in what was going to be a difficult time for them.
December 2011 saw the town Council host it's first Christmas Extravaganza in Moorends. The event was free to attend with free mince pies, kindly donated by Sainsburys, and free mulled wine or soft drinks. The event included a day time craft sale, where members of the public could purchase christmas cards and treats and children could visit Santa in his grotto. The 'profit' from the event went to assist the family of young local boy who was seriously ill in hospital. The funds allowed the family to be continue regular visits.
